A night with the Ballard Bros Kayfabe College

Every Wednesday night here at the Santino Bros Wrestling Dojo, the Ballard Bros run their training class, Kayfabe College. Now their class unlike any other that this writer has seen focuses more on the psychology of a match, rather than just producing spot monkeys - wrestlers who just know how to do moves and spots, rather than a wrestler who can put a whole match together and have it make sense! Tell a story if you will. With their style of training very similar to Santinos Bros style of training, they are a welcome addition to broaden all the students, whether Santino, Ballard or Los Luchas knowledge and experiences.

Having observed alot of their training, I must say, that I really appreciate the way the instructors, Shannon Ballard and Van Ayasit, immediately after the match or spot the students put together, they offer a critique of the match. They are very fair and will honestly tell you the pros and cons, the positives and negatives and the students strength and weaknesses. They have approximately anywhere from 5-20 student on any given Wednesday and their training class has everything from novice beginners to indy workers showcased weekly on NWA-Hollywood television show and at various independent shows around the West Coast. With past students such as WWE's The Miz, among countless others, you know you will get quality training and experience at Kayfabe College.

This match was in my opinion, the match of the night, but like a mark, I was too busy watching. By the time I grabbed my camera, I got the last 21 seconds. Jesse and Tim really put out for this match.

Below is a sample of some of the training received at Kayfabe College. Check it out
